Collaboration with
Rhode Island Cancer Council.
In an effort to help educate both the public and the allopathic
medical community about natural medicine, Dr. Tuten prepared informational brochures for the Rhode Island Cancer
Council. The first of these brochures, “Herbal Medicine for Prostate
Health,” was featured at the Rhode Island and Southeast
Massachusetts Chapter of the Oncology Nursing Society annual meeting
in Seekonk, Massachusetts on April 4th, 2007.
Herbal Formula Available.
In 2006, Dr. Tuten designed a proprietary herbal formulation for
Golden Flower Chinese Herbs, one of the country’s largest
manufacturers of Chinese herbal medicine. The formula, “Curcuma
Longa Formula,” is now available to licensed healthcare
professionals.
Curcuma Longa Formula was designed as an herbal alternative to
pharmaceutical COX-2 inhibitors such as Celebrex and Vioxx, as these
drugs have been proven to be unsafe. Herbal COX-2 inhibitors are
much safer, yet still effective as anti-inflammatory agents. The
formula consists of a synergistic composition of herbs known for
their anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties, and would have
applications in arthritis, anti-aging and cancer support regimens.
If you are a licensed healthcare practitioner and would like to
obtain the Curcuma Longa Formula, please contact Golden Flower Chinese Herbs at
800-729-8509 or go to
www.gfcherbs.com.
First European Lecture
Tour.
In a whirlwind lecture series, Dr. Tuten presented his new
continuing education seminar, entitled “The Usual Suspects,” in
three European cities in the same number of days. The seminar was
presented in Madrid, Spain; Vigo, Spain; and Porto, Portugal.
Sponsored by the Escuela Superior de Tecnicas Parasanitarias, the
lecture was extremely well received in all three cities.
